This is a MSQL-PHP based dynamic web-site that is on each request regenerated from a database. The artists are authorized to access the database and to edit their own material. Gallery Diabolus is responsible for the functionality and the content of the main page, the artists are responsible for the content of their own pages. The logo in the upper left corner indicates who is responsible for the content of the page.
The artworks are organized in themes by the artists in sub-galleries with own titles each.

How to buy
The gallery features work by established and renowned contemporary artists and promising young talent. There is a great variety in media, style and theme so we hope that every visitor will enjoy visiting the gallery. If you like some of the artworks and would like to buy, please contact the artist using the message-box on the artist's pages or send an e-mail to the gallery director!

Gallery representation, membership
The gallery-membership is based on invitation and acceptance of the invitation. Our artists have been invited to publish their artworks on the web-site and they accepted the invitation. However, we provide artists with the opportunity to take the first step and call our attention to their work and so instigate their invitation. Diabolus Gallery provides the members with publicity on the World Wide Web. Members get a username and choose a password. Owing to the MSQL-PHP based web-site construction, it is possible that members edit and update their own material by themselves through a simple easy-to-use application interface, but a solid, uniform, over-all appearance of the web-site remains preserved. Since artists are authorized to access the database and edit their own material, they can organise their artwork in themed groups according to their own ideas and they can keep all information up-to-date. The web-site presents a forum that only members can access. The forum serves the communication between the gallery's artists and facilitates team-work. Artists are responsible for the content of their own pages. Visitors can contact the artist directly using the appropriate message-boxes.
Gallery Diabolus organizes exhibitions at varying venues. Mobility is a major factor of the gallery's philosophy. Gallery Diabolus pays in each case great attention to the stylistic and thematic consistency of the material to be exhibited. Owing to these factors there aren't general rules or conditions for participation. Members are informed in time about every exhibition that is being planned and they can decide about their participation .

Sponsorship, Advertisment
Art is the conscience of the world and one of the major propelling forces. Art production of past generations is what we are proud of in human history. That is what attracts the traveller to far-away places. However, the flourishing of the arts is not possible without promotion. Creation needs a free spirit that is not bound by earthly preoccupations. Sometimes a single person can create a new era by financing the realisation of art projects. It is not by chance that we remember the name of Maecenas, that we associate Renaissance with the Medici family.

Partnership with other galleries, venue hire
The main aim of our team is to ensure that the gallery's artists get publicity over a geographically extended area. Most of all, we lay great emphasis on promoting our young and promising talent who are at the beginning of their career.
Owing to the Internet the artists' works can be enjoyed online all over the world. The World Wide Web is a miraculous achievment of the last century. The youngest artist can present work to such a wide audience that even established artists could only have dreamt of a couple of decades ago.
However, one musn't forget that the virtual experience cannot replace the real encounter with the artworks. Hues of colours that we see on the screen differ slightly from the original hues. The situation is even worse with dimensions. The numbers and measures cannot make the same impression as the dimensions themselves. How often does it happen that we know a statue from reproductions and say, seeing it in real life, 'Wow, is it so graceful, I thought it was lifesize'? On the other hand sometimes our expectations are confronted with a strikingly bigger and more imposing reality.
According to all these considerations, we are not satisfied with pure online representation and we integrate in our activity the organisation of exhibitions at varying venues. Mobility is a major factor of our philosophy and consequently we try to find exhibition places in a geographically extended area.
We are constantly looking for galleries that are ready to build up a partnership and to co-operate. We are looking for exhibition rooms and locations that are appropriate to present contemporary artworks. If you think your location can house exhibitions of contemporary art, please contact the gallery. Unconventional venues are also welcome. Generally we organize exhibitions that are from two weeks to one month long, but in particular cases we may organize more exhibitions at the same venue.
The gallery has representatives in three major European cities: Budapest, Vienna and Stuttgart. The cities on the Budapest-Stuttgart axis and in the vicinity are in the focus of our attention.
